Effective immediately we will no longer retain the medical bills that accompany the reimbursement requests. Any bill not being paid, because additional information is needed, will be returned with our audit sheets. All other bills will be destroyed. NOTICE:
Section 42-7-320 (B) (2) SC Code of Laws states: "An employer, self-insurer, or insurance carrier must submit all required information for consideration of accepting a claim to the Second Injury Fund by June 30, 2011. Failure to submit all required information to the fund by June 30, 2011, so that the claim can be accepted, compromised, or denied shall bar an employer, self-insurer, or insurance carrier from recovery from the fund."
The fund will not accept any material needed to make a decision on the acceptance of a claim after June 30, 2011. If we do not have the required material by June 30, 2011 the claim will be denied.
